Mission Pillar Leadership & Committee Development (MPLCD)
Overview
Mission Pillar Leadership and Committee Development (MPLCD) is the backbone of IcFEM’s Christ-centred holistic community transformation. It equips pillar leaders, committees, and fellowship members with servant leadership skills, biblical discipleship, and accountability to drive sustainable change within communities.
Background
IcFEM exists to participate in God’s redemptive work by facilitating holistic transformation that restores relationships with God, people, and creation through Jesus Christ.
This mission is implemented through Local Transformation Units (LTUs), where Mission Pillars—Spiritual Empowerment, Mercy and Justice, Economic Empowerment, Education and Skills Development, and others—translate faith into practical community action.
MPLCD ensures that these pillars are led with integrity, excellence, and sustainability by strengthening leadership formation, discipleship, and coordinated action.
Our Goal
By 2028, pillar leaders and committees will demonstrate strong servant leadership, accountability, and community engagement while implementing coordinated, Christ-centred and sustainable transformation interventions across all Fellowships and LTUs.
Key Focus Areas
• Leadership Development – Training, coaching, and accountability for pillar leaders and committees.
• Discipleship through VDS – Spiritual formation and mentorship that builds Christ-like character and missional leadership.
• Community Engagement & Advocacy – Mobilizing communities to promote justice, dignity, and biblical values.
• Monitoring & Learning – Using reflection and evidence to improve impact and sustainability.
What We Aim to Achieve
• Empowered pillar leaders who plan and implement effective holistic interventions.
• Disciples equipped to influence their communities spiritually and socio-economically.
• Strong community participation in Christ-centred development initiatives.
• Measurable and sustainable transformation across all LTUs.
Village Discipleship Schools (VDS)
MPLCD coordinates Village Discipleship Schools, currently supporting 240 learners in 17 schools through trained mentors. VDS serves as the engine of continuous biblical worldview transformation, preparing disciples who become leaders and change agents in their communities.
Leadership in Action
Through pillar committee formation, inductions, and coaching sessions across LTUs, MPLCD strengthens leadership capacity and ensures effective coordination of mission pillars for lasting community impact.
