Jambo!

I am Claris Chepkorir from West Bukusu, and I write this with deep appreciation to IcFEM Mission, whose support changed the trajectory of my life. Your intervention began in Class Seven, allowing me to complete primary school at Bungoma DEB with 373 marks in my KCPE. From there, you continued to walk with me as I joined Cardinal Otunga Girls’ High School, where I attained a B- in my KCSE.
Thanks to your sponsorship, I was admitted to Maseno University, pursuing a Bachelor of Education with IT, specializing in Mathematics and Business. My university experience was both challenging and empowering, and I am proud to graduate in December 2025.
Beyond academics, IcFEM workshops were pivotal in shaping my emotional resilience, communication, and life skills. These sessions helped me manage stress, build self-confidence, and sharpen my interpersonal abilities. They also planted the seed of entrepreneurship — leading me to launch a small business during my studies, which supported me financially and taught me independence.
The ripple effect of your support is evident at home. My success inspired my family, and now two of my younger brothers are in university. My mother, once burdened, now beams with pride.

My name is Arivitsa (permission granted to use my name), from Likuyani in Kakamega County.
I sincerely appreciate IcFEM for identifying me as a needy student and seeking sponsorship for my education from high school through to college. My journey with IcFEM began in 2015 after I had completed my primary school examinations but was unable to proceed due to lack of school fees.

Through God’s grace, the Mission intervened, and in 2016 I joined Kamusinga Girls High School. I successfully completed my secondary education in 2019. However, after finishing Form Four, I returned home with no hope of advancing my education further due to financial constraints. I stayed at home for a long period, uncertain about my future.

In 2022, IcFEM traced me again to follow up on my situation. Once more, they extended a helping hand and gave me an opportunity to join Masinde Muliro University, where I pursued a Diploma in Business Management (Accounting). I was overjoyed—hope was restored, and life returned to my spirit.
I worked hard and remained disciplined throughout my studies, and by God’s grace, I graduated in 2025. I thank God for IcFEM and for the sponsors who made this possible.

After graduation, I was blessed with an opportunity at Dreamland Mission Hospital in the Billing Office, where I was engaged as a paid intern. It felt like a dream—I could hardly believe it! My mother had once lost hope in my future, but today I am able to support her financially and also assist my siblings through my income.

My story is truly a journey from nobody to somebody. I give all the glory to God and pray that He continues to bless IcFEM and the UK team for transforming my life.
