We are delighted to celebrate the successful completion of a three-month clinical training by Kahindo Luseko Louange from Centre Hospitalier Bethesda at IcFEM Dreamland Mission Hospital in Kimilili, Kenya — an initiative proudly supported by Smile Train.

This international secondment focused on advancing speech therapy skills for cleft lip and palate care, with intensive training in:

  • Cleft palate speech assessment and intervention
  • Clinical governance and best practices
  • Instrumental assessments including video endoscopy
  • Management of feeding and swallowing issues in craniofacial conditions
